This is the ideal location from which to explore Northern Britanny and Lower Normandy.

Within an hours drive you have such diverse attractions as the Bayeux Tapestry, the Normandy beaches where the D-Day landings took place. The Memorial at Caen recently opened to commemorate the D-Day landings and the Second World War. Pegasus Bridge. Mont St Michel, the second most visited tourist attraction in France, with its quaint cobbled streets, shops, restaurants and of course the monastery at the top. St Malo with its walled city with shops and restaurants on one side and a variety of beaches on the other. The fishing port of Cancale for its oyster and mussel beds and variety of seafood restaurants. The beaches all along the coast each one different and special in its own way. The historic medieval town of Fougeres with its Chateau, one of the oldest in France. The market towns of St Hilaire de Harcouet with its fantastic farmers market every Wednesday morning and the walled town Dinan with its market every Thursday morning. The city of Rennes home to the Bretagne Parliament with its shops.

There is a water park nearby with swimming pools and slides where the children can enjoy a good day out, next to it is a boating lake, part of a hydro electric dam system. In two of the nearby forests are a variety of walks, with horse riding and boating lakes.
